Recruitment OverviewAssist and support the Store Manager in driving store performance while fostering a fun and inclusive environment for team and customers.
PrincipleDuties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Manager on duty for employee scheduling, customer complaints, and general store operations when the Store Manager is absent.
- Lead store associates through training programs, goal setting, and regular follow-up to drive sales and task completion.
- Administer progressive disciplinary steps, including verbal and written warnings.
- Create a supportive team culture that aligns with Lids Brand Standards and company policies.
- Manage staffing, calling in associates for peak periods, and ensuring adequate coverage.
- Recruit, train, and onboard new staff.
- Enforce compliance with company procedures for inventory, funds, and safety.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- Execute the store’s selling strategy to meet KPIs and sales targets.
- Resolve customer issues promptly, including escalations and “make it right” requests.
- Promote Lids membership programs and in‑store offers through customer education.
- Maintain visual merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness in line with guidelines.
- Adhere to the Company Dress Code Policy.
- Execute company directives, promotions, and initiatives from headquarters.
- Follow the Policies & Procedures Manual to keep a safe work environment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot store technology, including MPOS and Custom platforms.
- Schedule and organize store supplies, services, and maintenance requests.
- Manage cash operations: opening/closing till, counterfeit protection, bank drops.
- Prepare store for inventory audits and assist during audits.
- Open and close the store per Operations P&P Manual.
- Protect company assets and handle inventory tasks: receiving, transfers, price changes, product counts.
- Optimize backroom layout, window activations, hardware flips, and product placement.
- Implement VM and merchandising changes during operating hours.
- Proven ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
