and Your Responsibilities

The Team Leader for Inside Sales is responsible for daily training and coaching of a team of Inside sales. In this role, the candidate is also responsible for supporting our Field Sales organization by nurturing inbound requests and leads, as well as actively prospecting to create field-organized visits within high target accounts. This role will require dynamic skills to work with our marketing, field, and management teams to ensure we provide service solutions that meet the customer’s needs, which will result in higher sales revenue and enhance the overall customer experience.

What

you will do
  • Lead and develop the team through regular team meetings, one‑on‑ones, coaching, training, and participation in the hiring process.
  • Coordinate staffing and resource coverage to support key performance metrics and maintain operational continuity.
  • Manage incoming leads, calls, emails, and quote requests with accuracy, urgency, and strong customer service.
  • Ensure sales leads, opportunities, and CRM records are entered, verified, and maintained with a high level of data integrity.
  • Support the full sales cycle by generating leads, identifying key contacts, preparing quotes, nurturing opportunities, and helping close business.
  • Prospect within target accounts and coordinate account visits to expand customer relationships and drive pipeline growth.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, including overdue leads and opportunities, and take action to improve results.
  • Resolve customer escalations by identifying root causes and partnering cross‑functionally on corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Follow established SOPs and contribute recommendations to improve workflows, procedures, and overall efficiency.
  • Support field sales representatives and senior leadership with quoting, pipeline support, weekly updates, and special projects as needed.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, and/or marketing.
  • 1 year of experience leading a team, or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Outbound call center experience and telesales training required.
  • Competitive, self‑motivated, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced sales environment.
  • Strong ability to connect with a wide range of personality types.
  • Product inspection knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to determine when to involve other departments to ensure excellent internal and external customer support.
  • Strong professional communication skills and the ability to maintain open, efficient communication with all customers.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify breakdowns in process and communication and offer solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Responsive to customer needs and able to maintain a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and Support teams in a dynamic, sometimes high‑pressure environment.
  • Strong team player who works cooperatively to support operational and sales goals.
