Medical Center Business Development Director

Encompass Health seeks a Medical Center Business Development Director to drive growth for our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this key leadership role, you will create and execute strategies to increase referrals and patient admissions, build strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, and community partners, and expand our presence in the post-acute market. You will collaborate closely with clinical and admissions teams, lead and mentor outreach staff, and use data to guide market initiatives.

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow inpatient rehabilitation referrals and market share
• Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, and community partners to drive patient admissions
• Analyze market trends, referral patterns, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical, admissions, and marketing teams to align outreach initiatives with patient care goals
• Lead, coach, and develop a business development and outreach team to achieve volume and quality targets
• Track, report, and present performance metrics, forecasts, and ROI to senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and ethical marketing practices
• Represent Encompass Health at community events, professional meetings, and networking functions
