Position SummaryPine Lake Companies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Irrigation Technician to join our landscape maintenance team. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial irrigation systems to ensure properties receive proper water coverage while promoting water conservation and system efficiency.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced in diagnosing irrigation issues while providing excellent service to both clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect commercial irrigation systems to ensure proper operation and coverage.
- Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues, including broken pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, rotors, drip systems, and controllers.
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers based on seasonal watering needs.
- Perform routine irrigation maintenance and preventative inspections.
- Identify leaks, water waste, and system inefficiencies.
- Install and replace irrigation components as needed.
- Troubleshoot electrical irrigation components, including solenoids, wiring, and controllers.
- Document completed repairs and communicate recommendations to management.
- Operate company vehicles, equipment, and tools safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Provide professional customer service while working on client properties.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Production Managers, and field crews to address irrigation needs.
- Experience maintaining and repairing commercial irrigation systems preferred.
- Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, rotors, drip irrigation systems, pumps, and irrigation piping.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic irrigation issues.
- Ability to read irrigation plans and diagrams is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
