RN - PRN - Assisted Living

Position: PRN RN - Assisted Living. Compensation: $33.00 - $48.00 per hour depending on experience. This is a PRN role (as-needed) to pick up shifts that are needed by the facility and fit your schedule.

This position serves as a back-up for the full-time Assisted Living RN.

• Provide individualized nursing care to patients/residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Collaborate with patients/residents and families, and with an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing practice and adhere to age and population-specific standards in the assigned clinical setting.
• Care for patients/residents in preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up in the home setting.
• Coordinate care, conduct patient/resident assessment, and deliver education and various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope, competence, and job descriptions. Provide guidance to ensure safe, reliable care and address care/service concerns.
• Operate within the Nurse Practice Act and state administrative rules; uphold the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (preferred): AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of long-term care, subacute care, medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Current unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in an NLC state.
• Obtains and maintains required certifications and completes required CEUs and competency training.
• Specific services/positions may have additional education, training, or experience requirements.
