Position:
Full Time Overnight Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Compensation:
Salary Range $21.00 - $24.36 per hour, $5,000 sign on bonus, shift differentials for overnights and weekends.

Shift: 10:30pm to 7:00am, 40 hours per week, every other weekend, rotating holidays.

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan. Considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to know, and will be held accountable for, following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan.
• Follows infection prevention and control policies and PPE use.
• Assists with daily living activities including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident.
• Supports resident mobility: transferring, repositioning, walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment; provides range of motion and passive exercises.
• Handles food preparation and dining, creates a positive dining experience, assists meals and snacks, and provides water and supplements as appropriate.
• Assists nursing staff with procedures, documents resident interactions and outcomes, and communicates resident's changing condition and care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
• Collects non‑invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents in keeping living areas clean and operational.
• Supports wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate.
• May participate in departmental or organizational committees and task forces as needed.

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of hire; must be enrolled or in the process of obtaining certification through endorsement.
• Completes yearly department‑specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits; a minimum of 12 hours ongoing education annually.
• Maintains all department‑specific required certifications.
• For applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• May be required to classify as a Sanford Category II Driver; requires a motor vehicle report, proof of a valid driver’s license, and medical qualification per Sanford Driving Policy.
