AR/AP Specialist & Accounting Coordinator
Position: AR/AP Specialist & Accounting Coordinator
Location:
Lynbrook, NY
Company/Industry: Well-established commercial distributor
Schedule:
Flexible / Hybrid Potential (4–8 hours/day, 4–5 days/week; open to Part-Time or Full-Time)
Salary: $30-35 per hour depending on experience, flexibility for the right candidate, plus benefits
Type:
Temp to Hire
- AP:
Verify supplier/lab invoices against POs; process payments (ACH, wires, check, credit card); code expenses; transfer data into QBO; manage AP aging. - AR:
Process customer billing, e-commerce payouts (Amazon/eBay/Pay Pal), and daily bank deposits; reconcile invoices; perform polite collections. - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for software efficiency and automation. - Admin:
Handle digital filing, document scanning, and basic office supplies.
- Mandatory:
Hands-on fluency in Quick Books Online (QBO). - 3+ yrs of full-cycle AR/AP experience.
- Ability to work independently as a "department of one" with high accuracy.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred or equivalent experience.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $30.00 - $35.00
