Overview

System One is hiring an Accounting Associate for our Accounts Payable team. Must be local to the Lynchburg, VA area.

Responsibilities

+ Process a high-volume variety of complex invoices, ensuring a 3-way match against purchase orders and confirming correct coding.

+ Interface with internal customers and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and reconciliation of accounts.

+ Generate monthly accruals and support efforts for internal/external audit requirements.

+ Process and audit complex vendor invoices for payment and coordinate vendor and Project Manager inquiries.

+ Support Treasury administration activities, including preparation of manual wires.

+ Maintain records for audit and historical purposes, and identify deviations from financial policies.

+ Perform data entry, intermediate accounting activities, and ensure compliance with safety rules.

Requirements

+ High School diploma or equivalent education

+ Minimum of 2 years of related experience

+ Knowledge of accounting procedures and terminology such as accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting

+ Good communication skills to comprehend, follow direction, and convey data

+ Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment

+ Good problem identification and resolution skills

+ Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
