Assist in preparation of financial statements/reports in accordance with GAAP standards

Assist with internal controls and financial policies/procedures

Assist in preparation for the yearend review by outside CPA firm

Assist in annual audit of Profit-Sharing/401(k) Plan outside CPA firm

Assist outside CPA firm with annual federal and state income tax returns as well as quarterly estimates for the same

Assist in all accounting operations for the company including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and order costing functions

Assist with preparation of percentage of completion method annual and monthly financial reports from on-going contracts

Review and complete weekly payroll processing in UKG Payroll Processing System

Maintain payroll tax compliance in UKG Payroll Processing System

Other duties and responsibilities assigned as necessary

Degree in accounting and/or relative accounting experience

Knowledge of GAAP and Revenue Recognitions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the skill to communicate effectively with those for whom accounting may not be their first language.

Ability to integrate into and be a crucial part of the Accounting team, as well as to work with and communicate effectively with all ACS team members.

Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and explain financial statements and other financial reports

Ability to solve problems and think critically

Excellent Excel skills including the ability to take data from the ERP and payroll programs and convert into meaningful and useable reports in Excel

Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Programs
