This position will provide consistent staffing schedules for all nursing units to ensure safe patient‑to‑staff ratio.
This position is responsible for inputting and developing staffing schedules for nursing departments. This position will ensure nursing departments have the necessary staff scheduled to work to ensure the safety of both patients and employees. Administrative Policy 33 (Attendance: Scheduling Rules and Procedures) will serve as a guide to ensure staffing effectiveness is maintained. Under the guidance and direction of the Chief Nurse Executive, performs staffing, scheduling, replacement staffing, record maintenance, filing and attendance tracking.
Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Demonstrates ability to perform a variety of complex duties and to communicate with all staff.
Excellent KSA’s and competence in data entry, typing and clerical skills are required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and boundaries are essential.
Experience using MS Office Suite is required. Experience in automated data systems is preferred.
Prior experience in administrative duties in a fast paced highly stressful environment which required precision and detailed work is preferred.
Must be able to work independently.
Experience in handling confidential and sensitive matters is preferred.
Demonstrates ability to organize and work under pressure balancing a variety of priorities.
Minimum Qualifications- Data entry, typing and clerical skills are required.
- MS Office Suite is required.
- Experience in automated data systems is preferred.
- Previous staff scheduling experience preferred.
