Responsibilities
- Create content and manage LU Shepherd social media platforms including planning, developing, scheduling, and posting innovative and engaging content aligned with brand standards.
- Be available outside of normal office hours to attend, promote, and cover events for LU Shepherd, including taking pictures and videos.
- Work with the Director of Operations and Administrative Assistant to create a digital marketing plan and social media strategy for LU Shepherd.
- Create and maintain a social media calendar to ensure timely content delivery.
- Collaborate and assist with social media needs within the team and across departments.
- Assist Administrative Assistant with various office tasks and other administrative duties.
- Understand and utilize social media software, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- As directed, assist with logistic planning, preparation, and execution of LU Shepherd events.
- Assist with tracking engagement metrics for digital campaigns and reporting outcomes.
- Schedule requires the student worker to commit 18-20 hours per week.
- Education and Experience:
Current on all CSER credits. Microsoft Office knowledge and experience. Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Project management and relational skills. Public speaking skills. Self-starter and team player. Social media and content creation knowledge and understanding.
- Communication and Comprehension:
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information. Proficient in English for professional correspondence. - Public representation:
Ability to represent Liberty University professionally to business and community contacts. - Organizational skills and computer proficiency, with ability to learn new skills quickly (especially Microsoft Office).
- Problem solving:
Ability to reason, analyze information, and apply judgment to solve routine and complex problems.
- Work Environment:
Climate-controlled office setting with adequate lighting and moderate noise. - Travel:
Travel may be required using personal or LU vehicles; valid driver’s license and insurance required when driving on university duties.
