The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing communications and scheduling for the Campus Logistics business office and various Campus Logistics facilities, including Print and Mailing Services, Postal Services, Student Mail Center, and Warehouse Services. The role also involves maintaining office operations and cleanliness at the business office.
Responsibilities- Handle day‑to‑day operational tasks to ensure seamless function of the business office, including customer service to guests, answering phone calls, supervising office cleanliness, submitting work orders, and recording and purchasing inventory.
- Manage Workday processes such as job postings, transfers, terminations, and other requests.
- Coordinate communications and avoid scheduling oversights by meeting with staff for facility tours and day‑of details.
- Manage the departmental email and voicemail inboxes, responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the Transportation office regarding vehicle inspections, renewals, and repairs.
- Maintain department computer lists.
- Purchase and inventory office supplies.
- Update and combine reports from all areas of Campus Logistics.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management that involve administrative duties and projects.
- Attend all required Campus Logistics meetings.
- Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering Liberty University’s Christian mission.
- Strictly adhere to Liberty University policies and represent the university in an exemplary manner.
- Create training manuals and onboard new hires for all Campus Logistics staff.
- Use budgeting software and work closely with the Director team on strategic plans and monthly reporting.
- Keep up‑to‑date with industry standards and performance benchmarks to ensure communications and office operations remain effective.

Qualifications and Credentials- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- One to two years of experience in a related field.
- Four‑year college degree from an accredited university in Business, Communications, or a related field.
To obtain a Liberty University‑approved driver certification, applicants must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license with at least five years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.

May be required to travel locally and on campus, sit at a desk, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 30 pounds, and manipulate materials at various heights.

Climate‑controlled, well‑lit setting with moderate noise; occasional outdoor event facilitation. - Time Type:

Onsite. - Pay Range Compensation: $18.27 – $21.15 per hour. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, following internal equity and market benchmarks. The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.
