The Office of the Student Project Services (OSPS) Student Worker will perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks within the Life & University Propulsion Division (LUPD), supporting OSPS staff and assisting other departments as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Assist OSPS staff in gathering and disseminating information to the public, department personnel, internal departments, and external agencies.
- Perform daily clerical duties: scan, copy, rename, collate, file, and organize reports and records.
- Prepare photocopies and other documentation as required.
- Complete additional duties assigned by supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and support LU’s mission and values.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Enrolled residential student at Liberty University with Federal Work Study approval.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated professionalism, maturity, and confidentiality with secure information.
- Strong communication skills in written and verbal English.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Effective written, oral, and visual communication in English.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient use of computer hardware and software, including MS Office.
- Problem‑solving ability with sound judgment for routine and complex tasks.
- Capability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physical ability to sit at a desk and type; adequate hearing and speaking for communication.
- Primarily indoor desk work; occasional outdoor work in all weather conditions may be required.
- No driving requirements; use of a university vehicle is not required.
- No valid driver’s license required.
Part‑time, onsite position. Pay starts at $12.77 per hour, at least the current Virginia minimum wage. Compensation may vary based on responsibilities, skills, and funding.
