Student receptionist is responsible for helping with administrativecoverage of the reception area: greeting guests and helpingschedule facilities.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDuties will include receiving all visitors to the School of Engineering and directing them to the needed services by fieldingquestions and providing directions to the many and various locations within the school and elsewhere in DeMoss Hall. Specific duties will include directing students scheduled for CASAS advisingand tutoring, assisting in the coordination of room schedules andevents, answering the telephone, and providing back-up coverage torelieve the office manager for meetings and other administrative tasks.

Minimum QualificationsThe student must be a residential Liberty University student. Hourswill vary; candidates must have the ability to work 18 hours perweek. Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills andmust have and maintain a minimum of 2.5 overall GPA. All applicants must demonstrate a personal faith commitment to the University’sevangelical Christian purpose.
Preferred QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills, demonstratecomputer proficiency, and possess the abilities to both follow instructions and lead others, a Christ-like attitude, and the ability to function responsibly with minimal direct supervision.

Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimumwage per hour. Pay may vary by position and department based on job responsibilities, required skills, available funding, and market conditions.
