Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion,the Office Work Assist is directly responsible to, and assists,Directors, Assistant Directors, and senior staff members inwhatever areas deemed necessary. It is the duty of each DOS staff member to keep the Dean of Students, the senior staff members,and/or the Administrative Assistant abreast of any discipline,personal, physical, or emotional problems involving the student population. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for updating electronic files and keeping complete and accurate records of student situations.
- Answer calls at the front desk and direct callers to the correct offices
- Develop and schedule content for social media platforms (e.g.,lnstagram, X/Twitter).
- Create graphics, videos, and written posts aligned with brand guidelines.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and fostercommunity interaction.
- Track performance metrics and prepare monthly reports on reach,engagement, and growth.
- Collaborate with internal DOS teams to promote events,programs, and initiatives.
- Stay updated on social media trends and recommend strategies to increase visibility.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and maintain apositive online presence.
- Student must be currently enrolled at Liberty University
- Experience managing social media accounts for a brand,organization, or business.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and schedulingplatforms.
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suitepreferred).
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, andmeet deadlines.
- Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices.
- Video editing experience for short-form content.
- Experience in higher education or student engagement (if relevant).
- Complete tasks as assigned by the Directors – This includes,but is not limited to, scheduling appointments, taking phone calls,swiping students into meetings, etc.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities
- Assist with background checks and records requests
- Maintain office and conference room areas
- Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and ExperienceStudent must be currently enrolled in the institution.
ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THEJOBCommunication and Comprehension- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingto convey clear, well articulated information.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order toconvey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
- Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business,government and community customers and associates.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent purchasing systems and computer skills.
- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, andapply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods to performdeskwork or type on a keyboard.
- Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to moveabout the building.
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order toconduct business.
- Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.

Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage per hour. Pay may vary by position and department based on job responsibilities, required skills, available funding, and market conditions.
