Recreation & Leisure, Customer Service Rep
The Campus Rec Student Worker is responsible for performing operational tasks for Campus Recreation programs and facilities. They will provide excellent customer service, maintain facility and asset cleanliness, ensure that all policies are followed by guests and participants, and ensure all safety measures are being implemented.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Ensuring customer safety, facility cleanliness, effective operations, and a high level of customer service at Montview Bowling Alley and Game Room during operational hours.
- Assisting in the maintenance and adherence of risk management procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with University policies.
- Effectively communicating any issues or customer complaints to the Montview Rec Operations Manager on shift.
- Ensuring clean and organized indoor facilities, stocking supplies, and maintaining clean restrooms and public spaces.
- Assisting with maintenance of rental equipment and the Montview Bowling Alley and Game Room, including regular cleaning.
- Regularly assisting with events and operations during evening, nights or weekend hours.
- Attending all required Campus Recreation trainings and meetings.
- Performing all other tasks assigned by the Director of Montview Recreation to assist with Campus Recreation operations and programming.
- Working effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
- Must be Federal Work Study (FSW) eligible to apply.
- Must be a current Liberty University student, able to work up to 18 hours per week, available for a variety of shifts (weekends, afternoons, late nights).
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
- Experience in customer service is preferred.
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both routine and complex nature.
- Excellent computer and organizational skills.
- Regularly lift 40 or fewer pounds.
- Required to upload Letter of Recommendation and Cover Letter.
