Campus Rec Student Worker

The Campus Rec Student Worker is responsible for performing operational tasks for Campus Recreation programs and facilities. They will provide excellent customer service, maintain facility and asset cleanliness, ensure that all policies are followed by guests and participants, and ensure all safety measures are being implemented.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring customer safety, facility cleanliness, effective operations, and a high level of customer service at the Montview Bowling Alley and Game Room during operational hours.
  • Assist in the maintenance and adherence of risk management procedures and policies at the Montview Bowling Alley and Game Room, ensuring compliance with University policies.
  • Effectively communicate any issues or customer complaints to the Montview Rec Operations Manager on shift.
  • Ensure clean and organized indoor facilities through stocking supplies and maintaining clean restrooms and public spaces.
  • Assist with maintenance of rental equipment and the Montview Bowling Alley and Game Room, including regular cleaning.
  • Assist with events and operations during evening, nights, or weekend hours.
  • Attend all required Campus Recreation trainings and meetings.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by the Director of Montview Recreation to assist with Campus Recreation operations and programming.
  • Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
  • Must be Federal Work Study (FSW) eligible to apply. You are eligible to apply for an FWS position if it is offered on your financial aid offer. Visit the Human Resources website to complete a student employment application. Please note that eligibility does not guarantee employment.
  • Must be a current Liberty University student, able to work up to 18 hours per week, available to work a variety of different shifts (weekends, afternoon, late night), and current CPR/AED and First Aid certified. Experience in customer service is preferred. Effective communication both verbally and in writing, ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both routine and complex nature.

    Excellent computer and organizational skills. Regularly lift 40 or fewer pounds.
