MISSION: Liberty Christian Academy exists to support parents and guardians in their biblical responsibility to nurture and train their children. Thus, LCA provides opportunities which allow students to realize their God-given potential and to live lives that glorify God in the spiritual, academic, social, physical and vocational realms.

POSITION SUMMARY: This middle school Math teacher may teach a variety of math classes to middle school students. The teacher will develop and implement lesson plans and assessments that reflect the given course objectives.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Secondary math state certification required
• ACSI certification preferred
• Classroom teaching experience preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and implement daily, weekly, and unit lesson plans
• Create and implement formative and summative assessments
• Create an atmosphere that is conducive to student learning and achievement
• Other duties as assigned

SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP:

1. Act as the spiritual leader of school and community.

2. Show evidence of a consistent time of personal Bible study, prayer and outreach.

3. Maintain a Christ-like attitude

INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM:

1. Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and promote enthusiasm for learning

2. Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction

3. Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback

4. Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom

5. Communicate, consult and co-operate with other members of the school staff

6. Maintain good order and discipline amongst students under one's care and
safeguard their health and safety at all times

7. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.

8. Participate in staff, group or other meetings related to the school curriculum

9. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies

10. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development

11. Adhere to the standards written for each subject

12. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs

13. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities

14. Participate in appropriate professional development and activities

15. Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations as directed.

16. Manages and conducts orientation to foster positive attitude toward our students and mission goals to reflect the overall values of LCA.

17. Attend and participate in chapel and other spiritual activities presented by the administration and campus pastor

17. Fulfill other duties as assigned

2. To present the school and its program in a positive manner to the community.
