Assistant Director of Partnerships
The Assistant Director of Partnerships is responsible for assisting students in Virginia and Virginia school systems through the licensure process. This position serves as a liaison between Liberty University and students and school systems.
Responsibilities- Build approved partnership pathways with identified partners to move groups of candidates toward licensure and/or additional degree programs.
- Serve as liaison with district personnel to improve relationships and recruitment.
- Be involved in every stage of the academic journey of identified candidates, including degree and course selection, working alongside students and professors, and bridging gaps when necessary.
- Help students and districts understand and navigate policies, providing specific resources based on individual student needs.
- Discuss specific academic and career goals with students and assist them in developing personalized plans through the partnership agreements.
- Assist districts in creating semester‑by‑semester plans individualized based on student goals, available time, and desired graduation time frames.
- Proactively assist students in understanding and navigating university requirements, academic progress, and changes that may affect progress based on the partnership agreements.
- Assist districts and students in understanding all requirements of the chosen degree, including licensure components.
- Proactively monitor academic performance and help students adjust their long and short‑term schedules accordingly.
- Attain knowledge and competency in the application of all required software, applications, and systems (Canvas, CRM, Argos, Microsoft applications, etc.).
- Strictly adhere to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.

Qualifications & Credentials- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. - Experience:
2‑3 years of administrative experience, including at least 2‑3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. - Strong organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:
Excel, Word, and Outlook. - Ability to work with a team.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Master’s degree or acceptance into a graduate program.
- K‑12 State Teaching License.
- Knowledge of School of Education’s gate and field process.
- Knowledge of the licensure process in Virginia.
- Communication and Comprehension – effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- English language proficiency for clear and professional correspondence.
- Public communication skills to represent Liberty University professionally.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Computer skills.
- Problem solving – analyze information and events to apply judgment and solve routine and complex problems.
- May be required to travel.
- May be required to sit for deskwork or type on a keyboard.
- Regularly required to hear and speak.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs.
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business.
- Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.
The working environment is climate‑controlled, well lit, and has a moderate noise level. Working may include facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
Driving RequirementsMay require use of a personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) for travel. Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required.

Time TypeFull time
Compensation$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.
