Position Summary: Perform responsible human support and paraprofessional work while assisting instructors or other professionals to achieve instructional objectives; assist special population students to meet established goals; plan and organize students' internship development, maintain written reports and paperwork, provide instruction on vocational skills, and maintain effective working relationships with all parties, including coworkers, business partners, students, families, employers, and employees at work sites.
EssentialFunctions
- Assist the Project SEARCH instructor in performing specific duties or undertaking specialized tasks to achieve instructional objectives.
- Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce material introduced by the instructor.
- Provide programmed practice activities, task analysis, and repetitions developed by the instructor.
- Assist with large and small group activities.
- Guide students in independent support at identified internship sites.
- Report and assist with specific student needs.
- Supervise students during unstructured time, such as lunch.
- Assist students with job development outside of Sidra sites.
- Perform related work as required.

- High school diploma or GED; minimum 60 credit hours from an accredited post‑secondary institution or career‑technical facility; or an associate’s degree; or successfully completed the Parapro assessment.
- Ability to stand, walk, move, climb, carry, bend, kneel, crawl, reach, handle, push, and pull; lift up to 25 lbs.
