Early Head Start Supervising Teacher
Location:
Lynchburg, VA; on-site
Salary Range: $20.25-$23.50

Take the next step in your early childhood career as an Early Head Start (EHS) Supervising Teacher. In this role, you'll lead a classroom team while still doing what you love—working directly with infants and toddlers. You'll create a safe, engaging environment where children can grow and thrive, while also supporting and coaching teachers, partnering with families, and helping shape a strong classroom culture.

Creating a warm, structured classroom where children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
Leading and supporting teachers through coaching, feedback, and collaboration
Planning engaging, developmentally appropriate activities using a research-based curriculum
Building strong relationships with families through communication, conferences, and home visits
Using observations and assessments to support each child's development
Working closely with program staff to ensure high-quality, inclusive services for all children
Keeping classrooms organized and aligned with program and licensing standards
Experience in early childhood education, especially with infants and toddlers
Leadership skills and the ability to support and guide a team
Strong organization skills with attention to detail
Ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and build positive relationships
Passion for supporting children, families, and fellow educators
CDA (or equivalent) focused on infant/toddler development;
Bachelor's degree preferred
Prior leadership experience
Pass and maintain all required background checks
