On-site in Lynchburg, VA.
Your Day to Day as an NDT Inspector:
- Perform NDT inspections using various methods (ultrasonic, radiographic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy
current, etc.) on components utilizing conventional and automated inspection equipment. - Perform loading of components using lifting and handling equipment and fixturing.
- Perform calibration, inspection, and process control checks on NDT equipment.
- Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results in accordance with code requirments and operating
procedures. - Maintain detailed and accurate records, logs, and documentation related to all work.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must also meet one (1) of the following traning/experience requirements:
- Successfully graduated from the Accelerated Training in Defence Manufacturing (ATDM) NDT program.
- Successfully completed an NDT program or equivalent from a recognized trade school or community college.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an NDT inspector with perference in Ultrasonic (UT), Radiography (RT), or Liquid Penetrant (LP) inspections.
- Must have the ability to learn and utilize software applications specific to the company.
- Must meet the required Work Keys assessment standards.
- Must be highly motivated, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
