Job Summary
We are looking for a Civil Designer/Drafter to join our Engineering Design group in our Lynchburg office. The role involves creating and editing plans using Civil3D software for various engineering projects, including site plans, utility planning, roads, bridges, stormwater conveyance measures, sidewalks, and railways.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather project information and ensure design accuracy and completion.
- Develop and modify drawings for municipal, environmental, and land development projects.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager or Director to maintain workflow continuity and enhance profitability.
- Adhere to town and county standards in all designs and drawings.
- Utilize design software to calculate distances, dimensions, and quantities accurately.
- Proficient in both oral and written communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Comfortable interacting with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited institution in civil engineering or a related field; relevant professional experience will also be considered.
- Motivated, proactive, and able to anticipate and address issues effectively.
- Commitment to working the necessary hours to meet project deadlines.
