We’re seeking a Network Voice Engineer to join BWXT’s forward‑thinking IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll support and enhance enterprise network voice systems, with a primary focus on our Lynchburg Mt. Athos facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in high‑security, high‑availability environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate is self‑driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a large manufacturing setting where reliability and precision are essential.

On‑site | Lynchburg, Virginia, in our secured facility

• Support and administer the Cisco Call Manager environment, including MACDs, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Configure and support Microsoft Teams collaboration (meetings, video, calling)
• Lead patching, upgrades, and asset management for all voice and video equipment across multiple networks.
• Monitor, document, and resolve call quality issues and service interruptions.
• Provide evening/weekend maintenance and travel support as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network closets and cabling infrastructure
• Collaborate with network engineers to evaluate current technologies and implement new solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year of professional voice experience and at least 3 years of overall IT experience
• Experience with MS Teams voice/video or Cisco CUCM/Webex, plus conference room support
• Working knowledge of voice technologies (SIP, PRI, POTS, Gateways, Softphones, Fax)
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on increasingly complex challenges •
• Experience supporting multi‑site environments and end users/help desk
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a manufacturing environment
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance

• Experience with Contact Center, Cisco Unity, and IVRs
• Basic switch/network knowledge (Cisco preferred)
• Understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Experience supporting highly secure manufacturing networks
• Hands‑on work with copper and fiber cabling infrastructure
• Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or similar
• Experience creating network diagrams (Microsoft Visio)

Pay: $65,000- $103,000
