Operations Manager
Position Overview
The Recovery FLM is responsible for leading a team of operators and coordinating and overseeing the daily production plans within the Recovery facility. These daily job functions include chemical processing, operating equipment, and maintaining all safety and regulatory standards.
LocationOn-site in Lynchburg, Virginia
Your Day to Day as a Recovery FLM- Coordinates and interfaces with engineering, maintenance, management, and safety support personnel.
- Serves as the subject matter expert on area operating procedures, safety protocols, and area IROFS.
- Supports operators by providing daily direction, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Hires and trains new operators and maintains training and administrative records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent plus five (5) years of relevant experience is required. Relevant experience can be supervisory or chemical processing.
- Must possess strong leadership qualities.
- Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate high levels of personal integrity and safety culture aptitude.
- Must be highly self‑motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Must be able to continuously develop knowledge of process and knowledge of leading people.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
- Previous experience in a controlled area is preferred.

Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
