We are looking for a Soils & Materials Lab Assistant to join our team in Lynchburg full-time. This role involves preserving and securing field samples, mastering relevant standards and procedures, using gINT software, ensuring equipment calibration, and overseeing soil and concrete testing.
Qualifications- 1 to 3 years of professional experience
- Ability to lead a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Organized and able to meet deadlines
- Proficient in OSHA regulations and prioritizes workplace safety
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing with a minimum of 3 years licensed driving experience.
- Preserve and secure all field samples
- Master ASTM/AASHTO/VDOT standards and procedures
- Become proficient with gINT software
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment
- Report concerns or damages to equipment
- Oversee soil and concrete testing according to standards
- Perform quality control audits for compliance with accreditation standards
