You will work with the Nondestructive Examinations (NDE) Engineering organization, which designs tooling and complex robotic systems to perform inspections of nuclear plants around the world. This role is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys seeing lots of complex robotic systems built and used every year, and who is very self‑motivated to lead teams and ensure the success of these engineering projects.

The position will manage a team of approximately six Project Engineers, Schedulers, Testing Engineers, and Engineering Aides. The role is responsible for design integration functions such as Technical Requirements Documents, Failure Modes & Effects Analyses, Design Review Boards, Integration Testing, Systems Engineering, Project Engineering, and Project Scheduling. Our work is fast‑paced with many projects running in parallel, which makes for a very energizing work environment.

The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is critical. Previous supervisory or project management experience is preferred.

What You'll Do Day‑To‑Day
  • Ensure effective performance of engineering assignments.
  • Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
  • Ensure projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
  • Ensure adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
  • Monitor goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
  • Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
  • Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
  • Work on special projects, as directed.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks, as required.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.
Total Rewards Package
  • Salary: $115,000–$156,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
