-A Component Repair & Replacement (CR&R) group is a leading organization in the US for replacement, repair, and long-term asset management of nuclear power plant components. We design, fabricate, and install major replacement Nuclear Steam Supply System components and new components for the next generation of nuclear reactors. We seek talented professionals to join our team as we upgrade and transform the nuclear power fleet to provide clean, carbon-free energy.
You'll Do Day-To-Day
This full-time role has a focus on leading people and projects to deliver impact in the clean energy sector. You will:
- Lead the Component Repair and Replacement team in Lynchburg, VA with P&L ownership for the business.
- Responsible for resource planning of the team and technical oversight of deliverables and project milestones.
- Interface with Component Engineering, Tooling, and Welding Engineering management to ensure project readiness and milestone achievement.
- Support both the existing operating fleet and opportunities in New Nuclear (SMR, AR & Plant Restarts).
- Oversee projects such as replacement of large components (steam generators, feedwater heaters, etc.), installation of integrated head assemblies, weld repairs to NSS components, reactor internals and bolting.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Build an effective, collaborative team culture.
- Develop team through training, mentoring, feedback, and work assignments.
- Monitor resource planning and prioritization to ensure timely engineering execution.
- Provide technical oversight of team members and deliverables.
- Work with customers to develop strong relationships.
- Research and assess best practices, proposing improvements.
- Support OpEx initiatives.
- Collaborate with the sales team to define scope and provide inputs to proposals.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and other internal stakeholders.
- Ensure effective field implementation and adherence to standards and procedures.
- Maintain a healthy technical conscience within the team.
- Monitor goals, objectives, and performance standards for team members.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Minimum of 12 years related experience or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- Technical expertise in nuclear plant maintenance
- Ability to set strategy and vision for a medium to large organization
- Deep understanding of NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) standards
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors, and customers
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through managers/supervisors
- Good problem identification and resolution skills
- Salary: $150,000 - $212,000 per year, with potential annual incentives and performance bonuses. Total compensation varies by qualifications, skills, and location.
