ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure customer safety, facility and asset cleanliness, effective operations, and a high level of customer service related to Campus Rec programs and facilities.
  • Assist in the maintenance and adherence of risk management procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with university policies.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns; communicate issues or complaints to the Campus Rec Student Manager on shift.
  • Maintain clean and organized facilities and equipment through stocking supplies and keeping public spaces tidy.
  • Assist with events and operations during evenings, nights, or weekends.
  • Attend all required Campus Recreation trainings and meetings.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by Campus Rec staff to support operations and programming.
  • Work effectively as a team member and support Liberty University’s mission.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, early mornings, afternoons, and late nights.

Preferred:
Experience in a customer service position.

ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English.
  • Professional representation of Liberty University to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Problem‑solving skills for routine and complex situations.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY ABILITIES
  • Frequent sitting or standing in one location for extended periods.
  • Frequent hearing and speaking required.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop.
  • Regular lifting of 40 pounds or less.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work Environment

The work environment is split between two climate‑controlled fitness facility settings that are well lit and have moderate noise levels.

Driving Requirements

Travel may be required. Valid driver’s license, acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance are required.
