The Lynchburg Police Department is currently seeking hourly Virginia DCJS certified officers. VA Certified Officers will complete this application, personal history statement, polygraph examination, psychological examination, background investigation, physical examination and medical examination prior to employment.

• Must have experience as an officer in a law enforcement organization of similar size and functional responsibility as the Lynchburg Police Department.
• Will be required to work a minimum of 8 hours each week.
• Authorized to work additional hours up to a maximum of 28 hours each week.
• There are no benefits associated with this position.
