Position Overview

We are seeking a highly agile Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who can establish credibility and trust with stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The HRBP will collaborate closely with site leadership to drive staffing execution, workforce planning, and headcount growth. This role provides both strategic and day-to-day HR support for assigned client groups while leading workforce initiatives that support operational needs and long-term growth.

Location

On-site in Lynchburg, VA at the nation’s largest nuclear manufacturing facility. Relocation available.

Your Day to Day as an HR Business Partner
  • Primary HR ownership for Production Control and Project Management functions.
  • Day-to-day operational oversight of site staffing, including workforce availability, and production demand alignment.
  • Trusted advisor to site leadership on workforce risks and talent gaps.
  • Lead and support site-level strategic workforce and growth planning, including forecasting and staffing execution planning.
  • Support workforce development initiatives and manage regional partnerships (e.g., educational institutions, training providers, and community partners) to build sustainable talent pipelines.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to drive hiring strategy and execution in support of headcount growth objectives.
  • Participate in talent assessment, calibration, and development processes to strengthen capability and succession readiness.
  • Develop and enhance HR programs that align with business strategy and support long-term workforce needs.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships across the organization, connecting quickly with stakeholders and establishing credibility.
  • Challenge legacy processes and norms to advance HR effectiveness and organizational performance.
  • Collaborate with global HR peers to enhance consistency, capability, and effectiveness across the function.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a closely related field.
  • 8 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated strategic HR experience.
  • Prior experience leading continuous improvement and/or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience in an advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Clear and concise communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead from the middle and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to report to an assigned manufacturing plant. This is a 100% onsite role.
