• Assists in ensuring continuous server performance and reliability through identification, acquisition, installation and maintenance of integrated system components.
• Troubleshoots hardware and software issues detected by monitoring or user reports.
• Advises and consults with IS management and lines of business regarding new server technologies consistent with corporate objectives; provides input on system capabilities and recommends developments and upgrades of server-based systems and processes.
• Provides primary point of contact as systems Business Partner for internal customers.
• Provides routine and ad hoc metrics, reports, and communications on system performance and operation issues.
• Serves on related projects, as needed.
• May assist less experienced staff on system issues.

Azure Resource Management

• Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking resources.
• Use Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Bicep for infrastructure as code.
• Identity and Access Management
• Manage Azure Active Directory users, groups, and roles.
• Configure role-based access control (RBAC) and conditional access policies.

Networking

• Configure virtual networks, subnets, VPN gateways, and peering.
• Manage Azure DNS, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Application Gateways.

Monitoring and Performance

• Use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Set up alerts, diagnostic settings, and dashboards.

Backup and Disaster Recovery

• Implement Azure Backup and Site Recovery solutions.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and recovery vault configurations.

Automation and Scripting

• Automate administrative tasks using Power Shell, Azure CLI, or Logic Apps.
• Integrate automation with Azure Automation accounts or runbooks.

Security and Compliance

• Implement security baselines using Azure Security Center and Defender for Cloud.
• Manage encryption, key management (Azure Key Vault), and compliance reporting.

Cost Management and Optimization

• Monitor usage and costs using Azure Cost Management tools.
• Right-size resources and apply cost-saving strategies like reserved instances.

Hybrid Cloud and Identity Integration

• Integrate on-premises systems using Azure AD Connect.
• Manage hybrid networks with Azure Arc or Express Route.

Troubleshooting and Support

• Diagnose and resolve Azure infrastructure issues.
• Work with support tickets and service requests effectively.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience is required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Good understanding of server hardware, software, networking, and storage systems.
• Hands-on experience with one or more server environments and architecture.
• May have knowledge in ITIL processes.
• Good communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data.
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good troubleshooting, problem identification and problem resolution skills.

• Salary: $77,000-$100,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
