Position OverviewThe IT Application Support Specialist provides technical administration, operational support, and limited software development for key Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) applications hosted on enterprise servers. Primary responsibilities include supporting Microsoft Biz Talk, Microsoft SharePoint, ETQ Reliance, and Rocket Enterprise Server, along with performing minor to moderate development tasks using .NET languages to extend functionality, build utilities, or support integrations. This role collaborates with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
YourDay to Day as an IT Server Applications Administrator
- Provide day to day support, maintenance, and monitoring for:
- Microsoft Biz Talk (integrations, orchestrations, adapters, logs, custom .NET components)
- Microsoft SharePoint (site administration, permissions, workflow troubleshooting, custom scripts)
- ETQ Reliance (workflow configuration, user access, vendor patch coordination)
- Rocket Enterprise Server (system configuration, performance, job monitoring)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality, integrations, and server infrastructure.
- Develop or enhance small scale utilities, scripts, and integration components using .NET languages (C#, , or Power Shell).
- Assist in maintaining and updating custom Biz Talk components or SharePoint add ins developed in .NET.
- Implement software patches, upgrades, and vendor‑released updates across supported applications.
- Improve application stability and performance through proactive monitoring and root‑cause analysis.
- Maintain documentation of configurations, customizations, procedures, and known issues.
- Manage application configuration, environment settings, permissions, and access controls.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve escalated technical issues and apply recommended fixes.
- Participate in change management, application lifecycle planning, system upgrades, and integration testing.
- Provide technical guidance to business users and help identify opportunities to optimize application usage.
- Ensure compliance with internal security standards, audit requirements, and IT policies.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise COTS applications, preferably including:
- Microsoft Biz Talk Server
- Microsoft Share Point
- ETQ Reliance
- Rocket Enterprise Server
- Knowledge of .NET development, including C# or , and familiarity with object‑oriented programming.
