SummaryDelta Star Inc. is seeking a motivated Transformer Core Assembly Technician – Level 1 (Nights) to assist in core assembly operations and learn essential skills under qualified supervision. What You'll DoAs a Level 1 Technician, you’ll support core assembly processes, maintain a clean work area, and follow safety protocols. You’ll learn to use measuring tools, operate equipment, and assist senior technicians in building high‑quality transformer cores.
A Day in the LifeYour day will involve measuring components, installing insulation, and using basic assembly tools. You’ll operate forklifts and overhead cranes under supervision, read work instructions, and ensure every task meets Delta Star’s safety and quality standards.
Specific Duties- Assist in core assembly operations under guidance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE correctly.
- Operate forklift and overhead crane safely.
- Use measuring tools (tape measure, torque wrench, level, square).
- Read and understand work instructions and DIR.
- Perform leg squareness and leg‑to‑leg measurements.
- Assist in installing core insulation and framework components.
- Demonstrate correct use of pegs and basic assembly tools.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability to read measuring tape or learn quickly.
- Familiarity with hand tools and PPE usage.
- Ability to work in environments with heat, cold, dust, oil, and vapor.
- Accuracy and efficiency of assigned tasks
- Compliance with safety and quality standards
- Successful completion of training milestones
- Team productivity and schedule adherence
