Trak Lathe Operator

AMG, Inc. is seeking a skilled TRAK Lathe Operator to join our 1st shift machining team at our Cohen Place location. This role is responsible for setting up and operating TRAK lathes to machine precision components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Set up and operate TRAK CNC lathes to produce high-quality machined parts.

* Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.

* Select and install tooling, adjust offsets, and verify machine parameters.

* Measure finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments.

* Perform basic program edits and adjustments as required.

* Monitor equipment and report mechanical or quality issues promptly.

* Maintain accurate production documentation and adhere to quality standards.

* Keep work area clean and follow all company safety policies.

Qualifications & Skills

* Minimum 3 years of machining experience, preferably with TRAK equipment.

* Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret machining tolerances.

* Familiarity with CNC controls and basic G-code adjustments.

* Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

* Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience machining in a job-shop or custom manufacturing environment.

* Knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling selection.

* Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

* Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen.
