Printing Press Helper - Sheetfed Press Area

Progress Printing Company is seeking a first‑shift Press Helper in the sheet‑fed press area. The role involves daily tasks for preparing running paper for the press, offloading printed material, handling material, maintaining a clean work environment, and operating material handling equipment. The position is a lead production role ensuring smooth operation of the baler system that compresses paper scrap into recyclable material.

• Read and understand daily schedule, quality control documents, job tickets, and stock tickets on intranet and job tracking system.
• Maintain clear communication and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in basic computer use.
• Operate forklift and motorized pallet jack (certification required).

• At least one year of pressroom and warehousing experience, preferably in a printing manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for 8–12 hours, and distinguish colors.
• Good vision (corrected or uncorrected).
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
