Printing Press Helper - Sheetfed Press Area

Progress Printing Company is seeking to fill the vacancy of first shift Press Helper in the sheetfed press area, responsible for daily tasks related to the preparation of running paper through a printing press and the offloading of printed material. This may include material handling and daily care of the work environment around the machine. The role operates material handling equipment and is the lead production position to ensure the smooth operation of the baler system that compresses high volumes of paper scrap into recyclable material.

• Reading and understanding daily schedule, quality control documentation, job tickets, and stock tickets on intranet and job tracking system.
• Clear communication and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in basic computer use.
• Experience and ability for forklift and motorized pallet jack certification.

• At least one year of prior pressroom and warehousing experience.
• Experience in a printing manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand 8–12 hours, and have good vision with the ability to distinguish colors.
• Must be able to work overtime when needed.
