ICP Group is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift
. Under the direction of the Production Manager, you will support plant operations at our Carroll location by coordinating material movements through the facility from raw material to finished goods for our Choice manufacturing plant. At ICP Choice Adhesives, we manufacture solvent-based, water-based, canister/aerosol, and hot melt adhesives for a wide variety of specialty applications.

This role will be supporting our Gas House.

The position is Monday – Thursday, 3:30pm – 2am and has a targeted pay range of $60-65K/year.

In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Track raw material on hand to maintain material stock levels to support production schedule
  • Support Safety and Health guidelines and facilitate a culture of safety that is evident in both visual observations and documented processes and procedures.
  • Ensure the production area meets all required regulatory Safety(OSHA) and Environmental(EPA Federal, State and Local) requirements and key staff are knowledgeable of those requirements through routine training.
  • Train and coach production staff on safe and proper execution of their responsibilities.
  • Monitor quality of all production ensuring quality tests are performed, standards are met, and non-compliant material is addressed immediately.
  • Assist in the scheduling of the plant and staff workloadwhile maximizing plant efficiency.
  • Help train operators to support Autonomous Maintenance of the production areas to eliminate downtime and yield loss.
  • Maintain effective level of accuracy per item count of raw material and finished goods inventories by implementing and maintaining exceptional production controls in terms of material usage and yield reporting.
  • Provide input to the Production Manager/Plant Manager for the development of continuous improvement initiatives at the facility and operational capital projects by providing ideas, data and resources.
  • Help production and Plant Managers establish performance goals and targets with subsequent follow up and coaching sessions aimed at improving employee’s skillset.
  • Ensure production areas are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion by building a culture that understands and supports those activities.
  • Monitor KPI’s daily to maintain expected levels of performance.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and train staff.

    Ensure that those procedures are followed once established and reviewed / updated periodically to maintain good management of change practices.
  • Provide weekly updates to management outlining plant objectives and accomplishments.
  • Coordinate with the Production Manager and corporate lab to perform plant trials as a function of product development.
  • Establishcost savings targets and communicateprogress.
  • You will cross-train at the Carroll Ave plant to provide coverage as needed and directed by the Production Manager and Plant Manager.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably gained across multiple employers or sites.
  • Experience training and developing teams in diverse manufacturing setting.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP.
  • Proficiency with production management software and other tools, such as ERP or MES systems, and familiarity with standard office software (Excel, Word). experience with Syspro.
  • Experience with batch operations particularly with a chemical nature.
