Job Overview
Merchandise Processor 3 – Automation Machine Operator Distribution Center. The role involves routine and repetitive duties related to minor adjustments and operation of assigned machines to meet quality and production requirements.
Responsibilities- Operate bag/box machine, making minor adjustments as required, to maintain quality and production requirements.
- Operate machine to produce bags from a roll.
- Successfully and safely operate all auto‑boxers and auto‑baggers.
- Work from work orders, samples, specification book, written and verbal instructions.
- Call maintenance crew when machine needs adjustments beyond training.
- Use small tools, such as an overhead crane, measuring and weigh scale.
- Obtain work instructions and properly select and load in‑process work in prescribed manner.
- Make adjustments in accordance with established standard operating procedures for machine operation.
- Check, set controls, and reset as required for proper speed, feed, tension, or other related machine operation.
- Remove completed work, recover and correct error work, identify, weigh, and properly induct onto shipping belt.
- Work with teammates on collecting product, sorting product, taping product, and the following machines (banding, slug, Beck/Autobagger) to ensure maximum throughput.
- Provide assistance with associate training and developmental efforts.
- Consistently monitor quality of bagging and product to maintain standards.
- Audit bagging samples during production to ensure quality of production.
- Audit taped offline orders prior to processing.
- Maintain production log to track detail of daily production and applicable downtime.
- Understand computer forms and swiftly navigate computer software applications.
- Record time or production information required on proper document.
- Detect and report defective material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to proper supervision.
- Maintain work, storage area, machine, and related equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain workplace housekeeping to provide a safe, clean work environment.
- Remove up to 50 pounds of trash intermittently and at the end of shift.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.

- Must currently be in good standing with attendance.
- Must be in current position for at least 60 days.
Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, stoop and climb for up to 10 hours at a time. Climb stairs. Stand for duration of work shift and walk/move continuously. Work around moving machinery/equipment. Adjust to climate changes; hot and cold extremes may occur in warehouse. Perform frequent/reoccurring movement (folding, hanging clothing, wrapping, packing, closing, ticketing, etc.). Lift up to 50 pounds several times per day;
weight requirements may vary within work areas; perform overhead lifting as necessary. Work comfortably on open platform/loft areas that are elevated to a second or third story level.
Full‑time. Able to flex up and work overtime as needed.
