Description

Under the direction of ACS corporate leadership and reporting to the Fabrication Manager, the Laser Helper provides day-to-day support to Laser Operators by assisting with production activities, material handling, and maintaining an organized work environment. This position plays an important role in ensuring efficient workflow, safe operations, and the production of quality parts that meet company standards.

Requirements Duties and Responsibilities

Safely load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products throughout the production area.

Verify that parts are properly collected, organized, and meet required specifications before moving to the next stage of production.

Work cooperatively with team members to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient machine shop.

Accurately read and use a tape measure to ensure materials and parts meet required dimensions.

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions while performing assigned tasks.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

Experience using hand tools and shop tooling safely and effectively.

High school diploma or GED required. Technical training or certification in machining or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills

Ability to accurately read and use a measuring tape.

Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Knowledge of common metal types and the ability to identify materials used in fabrication.

Ability to successfully complete ACS forklift safety training and obtain company-issued forklift certification.

Strong mathematical skills, including measuring and converting fractions and decimals accurately.
