Join Centra Health's growing Emergency Medicine team and practice across four community-centered hospitals in beautiful Central Virginia. We are seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners to help serve patients at:
- Lynchburg General Hospital (Level II Trauma Center)
- Bedford Memorial Hospital
- Centra Gretna Medical Center
- Centra Southside Community Hospital (Farmville)
Providers maintain a primary practice location while rotating among all four facilities, offering variety and collaboration within a supportive health system.

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical exams
- Diagnose, treat, and manage emergency and urgent care patients
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Complete admissions, discharge summaries, and progress documentation
- Provide patient and family education and support
- Coordinate follow-up care, discharge planning, and treatment recommendations
- Serve as a patient advocate while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care
- Participate in weekend rotations and departmental initiatives as needed
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care experience
- Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority
- Active Virginia RN license or multistate privilege
- National board certification in specialty area
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
