The CRC Lead RN provides onsite leadership to the nursing staff at the Crisis Receiving Center, delivers patient care as needed, and collaborates with CRC teams on treatment planning and crisis intervention services. The CRC Lead RN supervises RNs, LPNs, and CNAs and collaborates on nursing staff schedules, recruitment, and training/education.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia or an appropriate multi-state license.
- BSN preferred
- Four years of RN experience, including at least one year of supervisory/lead nursing experience. With BSN may consider less experience.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of community mental health and public health to advocate for treatment access and resources. Knowledge of nursing best practices. Knowledge of the principles, procedures, techniques, trends, and literature related to mental health, physical health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse. Knowledge of psychiatric/medical medications and treatments. Ability to administer medications as prescribed. Ability to perform medical interviews to obtain information and formulate appropriate treatment plans and referrals.
WorkRequirements
Willing and available to work modified schedules (weekends, holidays, etc.). Must possess a valid driver’s license. May be called upon to travel to Horizon work sites; transport clients; provide services to clients at other locations. Regular attendance at trainings and Horizon meetings may require travel to multiple sites. Ability to participate in and successfully complete behavioral intervention training, including verbal de-escalation and physical safety skills as needed.
Compensationand Benefits
Salary: $57,107.00 to $91,371.00 annually.
Hours:
full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Hiring bonus: $7,500 for new hires, paid in three installments contingent on background clearances, drug screen results, references, and satisfactory performance at 6 and 12 months.
