Lead Registered Nurse

Westminster-Canterbury of Lynchburg seeks a Lead Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership in our faith-based continuing care retirement community. The Lead RN will coordinate and deliver resident-centered nursing care, oversee daily unit operations, and mentor nursing staff. Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. This role supports a culture of dignity, respect, and holistic well-being while ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and high-quality service for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for nursing staff on assigned unit
• Deliver and coordinate resident-centered assessments, care plans, and treatments
• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure quality care
• Monitor resident status, respond to changes in condition, and communicate with physicians and families
• Ensure regulatory, safety, and infection control standards are followed
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record and maintain required reports
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support holistic wellness and life enrichment
• Participate in staff education, training, and performance feedback
