Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) located at a healthcare facility is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care within a Medical Surgical (MS) unit. The position involves working with a diverse patient population, including those with gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiac, and neurological conditions, across night shifts. Experience with travel assignments and Cerner electronic medical record system are preferred.

Description:
12-hour night shifts on the Medical Surgical Med Surg unit, with orientation starting on 9/21 or 10/5. The RN will handle a patient ratio of approximately 1:6, caring for patients with conditions such as GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/Stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. - Required Qualifications:
Certifications, a minimum of 2 years of work experience, valid nursing license, ability to work night shifts, and previous travel experience are required. - Schedule:
Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. - Preferred Qualifications:
Cerner experience and familiarity with supporting a teaching hospital environment are preferred. - Additional Information:
The role may require charge responsibilities, with appropriate pay differentials and training provided. Ancillary support staff such as phlebotomy, EKG technicians, and CNAs are available. All team members are expected to contribute to a supportive culture, including interactions with students and new hires. Submission must include comprehensive work history with at least 2 years of experience, a skills checklist, and a copy of the nursing license.
Limited Requests for Time Off (RTO) are accepted, and all RTO must be included in the submission packet. The client can cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior due to census fluctuations. Cerner electronic medical record experience is preferred.
