American Traveler is hiring an experienced Medical Surgical RN for an ortho-focused night shift position requiring 2 years of Med/Surg experience and a compact or VA RN license.

• Ortho-focused Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 6:45pm-7:15am
• Trauma Level I facility
• Floating may be required in rotation with staff, in accordance with clinical experience and unit policies
• Cerner/Oracle Health charting system preferred

• Active compact or VA RN license required in hand (pending certifications considered)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• BSN not required

• Provide direct patient care to orthopedic and medical surgical patients
• Biweekly orientation held on Mondays
• 8-10 hours of orientation modules required, completed annually
• Must reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position
• Former Centra employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, with a preference for no RTO in the first weeks
• Holiday coverage required in rotation with staff
• Scrubs may be any color with a professional appearance; child-friendly prints and lab coats allowed
• Nicotine-free campus
