Quality Assurance Engineer
Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will lead reviews of contract technical requirements and manufacturing code specifications, evaluate situations, and select and apply standard engineering and mathematical techniques. They will create plans and procedures to meet contract specifications for products and administrative requirements. This person will have subject matter responsibilities that may include functional specifications, systems, market basket work, risk and/or STOP/GO notices.

Your Day to Day as a Quality Assurance Engineer:
Applies understanding of manufacturing technology, technical process specifications, and Engineering/Quality policies and procedures to meet customer needs and satisfy contract requirements. Interprets technical specifications, conducts meetings, interfaces with customers, vendors, and other department representatives, and prepares time and cost estimates. Authors inspection and other work procedures that require application of mathematical and engineering skills. Authors technical reports and papers and conduct both formal and informal communication with internal departments and customers.
Reviews technical drawings and plan compliance tasks to ensure the product satisfies all drawing requirements. Leads and/or participate in incident investigation teams and plans preventive and corrective actions. Identifies trends in the work area, including ongoing quality assessments of the unit's work. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, AND two (2) years of relevant experience is required. Must be highly motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to read and accurately interpret technical documents. Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience developing quality systems and procedures, based upon customer specification, preferred. Knowledge of various quality control techniques used to analyze, trend, and improve product quality preferred.

Pay: $62000 - $109000
