Salary Range: $20.00 - $40.00 Hourly
Job Shift: Day
Job Purpose- The Quality Control, Level 2 position at AMG INC is designed to interpret customer and purchase order requirements from drawings/blueprints and internal work order routers. The role involves verifying parts using all inspection equipment and providing any necessary reports or data required by the customer.
Key Responsibilities- Follow instructions and maintain a clean work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Read and interpret drawings/blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to accurately assess product specifications.
- Inspect parts using precision equipment and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Program CMMs using PCDMIS software to facilitate accurate and efficient inspections.
- Complete quality reports and certifications to document inspection results and compliance.
- Accurately record job data to maintain comprehensive and precise records of inspection activities.
High school diploma or GED required.
Required Experience- Minimum of 3 years in a Manufacturing or Quality Inspector environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, and apply them to practical situations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings/blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Competence in inspecting parts using precision equipment and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Experience in programming CMMs using PCDMIS software.
- Capability to complete quality reports and certifications, and accurately record job data.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
