Reporting to the Associate AD for Ticket Operations and Sales, the Director of Ticket Sales with have the responsibility of managing staff and overseeing ticket sales responsibilities for all NCAA ticketed events (including football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball) to generate new revenue, including but not limited to, season tickets, single games, group tickets, mini plans, etc., as well as service existing accounts.
This position will also assist in annual fund donations related to premium seating, Flames Kids Club membership, and post season events.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the sales and service staff including recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff.
- Monitor, manage, and evaluate staff performance on an ongoing basis; establish and communicate clear sales revenue and training goals, and provide follow-up to staff with appropriate feedback and direction for development.
- Sell tickets through outbound, inbound and renewal sales. Inventory available for sale may include but is not limited to season tickets, season ticket upgrades, upsells & add-ons, group ticket packages, partial/mini-plan packages, single game tickets, parking, post season events, Flames Kids Club and Flames Club memberships. This includes a personal sales goal and contributing to the annual revenue growth.
- Help to develop and execute season, group, and single ticket sales and marketing plans. Including email creation and marketing through both University Marketing and internal systems (Eloqua), texting campaigns, project requests and more.
- Prospect and target new sales opportunities to include season tickets and group tickets.
- Assist the Associate AD with the creation, planning, communication, and implementation of special ticket plans, projects, promotions, and programs.
- Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly sales figures and relevant accountability.
- Lead CRM and group ticket systems manager.
- Assist in staffing athletics events on campus for customer service, marketing and lead generation.
- Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.

- Provide oversight and guidance to full time ticket sales and service consultants
- Provide oversight and guidance to any student workers or volunteers
- Education and Experience
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 2-4 years in an athletics ticket office in a ticket sales capacity - Ticket system experience (ideally Paciolan or similar system)
- CRM system experience (ideally Salesforce or similar system)
- Must be able to perform well under stress and maintain a positive attitude
- Must be able to stand for hours at a time at both indoor and outdoor events Availability including nights, weekends, and university breaks
- Preferred Experience:
Cash handling and/or sales, customer service via in-person and over the phone, experience in a Division 1 Athletics Department, and experience with the Paciolan ticketing software system, Eloqua, Salesforce, Ballena, Vozzi, and FEVO or similar industry systems.
Communication and Comprehension:
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business, government and community customers and associates.
Strong organizational skills. Computer and scheduling skills.
Problem Solving:
Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Required to travel to local and campus locations. May be required to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
