A Security Services Officer for Liberty University must be able to work independently and with little supervision. Must possess good decision making skills and be even‑tempered. The Security Services Officer must work his assigned shift and overtime as required. As a Security Services Officer will primarily be assigned to a specific building upon properties owned or controlled by Liberty University. The Security Services Officer will be responsible for the initial primary response to any incident occurring within their assigned building and will complete all non‑criminal reports.
Additionally, the Security Services Program will include magnetometer deployment and operation, armed security services, special event support, and all other duties as assigned by LUPD Command Staff. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in the field of Security Services and remain abreast of all current and upcoming industry standards within the field.
