Experienced Diesel Technician – Shop Position

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our modern, fully equipped facility serving the DMV area (Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia).

This is a day shift, in-shop position offering competitive hourly pay, a sign‑on bonus, full benefits, and long‑term career growth.

• $28–$40 per hour (based on experience)

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and/or buses in a shop environment
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM services)
• Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and driveline systems
• Use diagnostic software, hand tools, and power tools
• Remove and replace parts efficiently within standard repair times
• Complete accurate service documentation
• Maintain parts inventory and communicate repair needs
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Collaborate with service advisors and team members to exceed customer expectations

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Minimum 2 years of heavy‑duty diesel repair experience
• Experience working on trucks and/or buses
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Trade school or mechanical certification (preferred)
• CDL (preferred but not required)
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including overtime as needed
• Ability to lift, bend, and work in a physically active environment
